Fire Warden Training

Training guidelines on 20 employees would be 1 no Fire Warden and 1 no Deputy Warden. Training should be carried out annually. ALL employees should undertake fire extinguisher training. Our Fire Warden course includes the following:

• On Site Fire Training
• Fire Safety – the causes of fire and how to stop them
• Fire Starting – Emergency plan and action to be taken in the event of a fire
• Fighting the fire
• Extinguisher use – ‘Live’ fire unit
• Use of Fire Blankets
• Use of Hose Reels
• The responsibilities and duties of the Fire Warden
• Fire Safety Checks
• Fire Drills

Courses are divided between classroom instruction and practical hands-on use of fire extinguishers, plus handouts. There is a questionnaire at the end of each course. All courses are fully certificated.

Live Fire Extinguisher Training

The law requires every employer to provide Fire Extinguisher Training for his/her employees*

OBJECTIVES:

The law requires every employer to provide Fire Extinguisher Training for his/her employees. This course is designed to ensure staff:

• Understand and select the appropriate fire extinguisher depending on the classification of fire
• Can operate various types of extinguishers effectively
• Learn the importance of Fire Blankets and their effective use
• Have the opportunity to fight fire on a ‘Live’ fire simulator, which is environmentally friendly and safe.
• Witness the actual use of a fire blanket on a ‘Live’ fire

Courses include hands-on use of extinguishers and are fully certificated.
