ISE Fire Products & Services Ltd. have been carrying out the annual inspection and servicing of fire fighting equipment at Uppingham School since 2008. I am impressed by the professional and friendly manner in which ISE present themselves. When ISE started working at the School, in addition to the servicing etc., they compiled a detailed inventory of the School’s fire fighting equipment. With the assistance of ISE [Fire], we have carried out a complete revision and rationalisation of fire fighting equipment across the School’s 70+ buildings. The engineer carrying out the work, who has remained the same from day one, is very competent and conscientious in his work. Both the engineer and ISE as a company, provide advice and make recommendations but without the “hard sell” techniques experienced with some of the national contractors. ISE have provided the School with good quality fire safety signage, including customised fire action notices, to our own design, to a very good standard and at very competitive prices. We have recently started to use ISE to provide fire fighting equipment training to teachers and support staff and this has been very well received being considered both informative and fun! The Trainer in particular has been singled out by teaching staff as being very good. It is my hope that the excellent relationship built up between ISE and Uppingham over the past 4 years continues to develop and go from strength to strength.

Christ Church consists of many historic buildings which house over five hundred fire extinguishers of varying kinds. ISE Fire were retained in 2005 to undertake the annual service of the extinguishers and they performed this in a timely and very efficient manner. Christ Church is not a simple office type environment and extinguishers can be found in many diverse places. The engineer worked very hard locating them and providing them with the appropriate service. At the conclusion of the annual service ISE Fire provided Christ Church with a detailed inventory of the extinguishers, along with their locations, which makes our task of regular visual inspections much easier. ISE Fire were very competitively priced when compared to our previous provider and others that were contacted during the selection process. However, when put alongside the excellent service that ISE Fire provided the competitive price takes on even greater significance. We have been using ISE Fire for many years to service our fire extinguishers. Their staff have always been professional and adhere to all site rules as they complete their work in a very safe manner. Any equipment failures are reported immediately and a suggestion for improvement is always readily available. All documentation is provided in a timely manner, and both the engineers and office staff have been very helpful in working with us to improve the range of extinguishers we have on site. The use of an extinguisher training course has been trained out to all our fire wardens, who now have a depth of knowledge on what type of extinguisher should be used for each type of fire, i.e. electrical, oil. I have since recommend ISE to other depots within our network, and would strongly recommend them in the future.
